WHY CHOOSE IN-COMPANY TRAINING INSTEAD OF SENDING LEARNERS AWAY TO A TRAINING CENTRE?
The great thing about in-company training is that your operators are learning on the trucks they will actually use at work.
They will learn how to do the things they will be expected to do in their job role. They will have Specific training on any special attachments.
They will train using the actual loads they will be expected to move as part of their job and will be familiarised in the environment they will work in.
New operators will be confident they can perform their work tasks safely and well.
Employers will find that their new operators will get “up to speed” quicker as they gain experience in the working environment.
SAVE ON WORKER DOWN-TIME & COURSE COSTS
Time required for training depends on previous experience, complexity of the job and the number of learners on the course. Your in-company training course will be tailored to fit your needs and will always be time efficient and cost efficient.
Effective high quality training can be given focusing specifically on the skills your operator needs to do their job.
Call to discuss training needs and time scales with your instructor or email for details.
I will be glad to visit your site to look at what you do, discuss and plan your training needs with you.
REFRESHER TRAINING
It is recommended that operators have a forklift truck refresher every 3 years.
A maximum of 4 people can have refresher training in 1 DAY on your site with a flexibility that causes the minimum of disruption to your operations.
COURSE CONTENT & STANDARDS
All training courses will include a focus on Health & Safety and Individuals responsibilities. Stability theory, accident prevention & understanding the Capacity Plate.
Finally, the operator will have to demonstrate that they are performing set assessment tasks correctly. Rest assured that your newly trained operators will have the skills and knowledge to become safe and efficient Forklift truck operators.
PAPERWORK & TRAINING RECORDS
A “Certificate of Operator Training” and full Training Records will always be provided promptly for you to keep on file.
The Training Records will detail the full course content and details of the individual assessments that were done.
Rest assured that your operators will be very well trained & you will have the records to prove it.
MOBILE WORK PLATFORM TRAINING
As an experienced Instructor for Mobile Work Platforms & Harness use, your on-site training for Scissor lifts, Booms (cherry pickers) and other categories of machine will be thorough and designed to meet your specific needs.
There will be comprehensive theory given on the correct use and set-up of these machines so they can be used safely.
Once again, because the training is in-company, it means your operators are being trained to use the actual machines they will use in their job role and you can rest assured they will be able to use the machines safely and well.
MANUAL HANDLING
The Manual Handling techniques taught are not the traditional “keep your back straight, squat down and lift with your legs.” The course is based on the new ergonomically designed CIEH techniques which focus on natural movement. Because of this, they are more likely to be adopted by your workforce, keeping them safe and injury free.
This is a half day course for a maximum of 10 people
The half day course can be run twice in a day. 2 x 10 people maximum
PEDESTRIAN PALLET TRUCKS or STACKERS
These are one day courses.
4 people max for Pedestrian Pallet trucks - 3 people max for Pedestrian Stackers.
